ALOHA, my name is Noelani Wilkins and I am so excited to be a 5th grade teacher here at Lincoln Academy. I was a previous employee of Lincoln Academy and as life changes so did my path. I left Lincoln for a short time and was given the greatest opportunity to come back to my Lincoln Academy Ohana (family).
As a teacher, my greatest goal is to help my students become the best that they can be; to become independent thinkers and to “DREAM” big. This country we will live in, gives our young people the opportunity to reach for the stars and achieve dreams, Dr. Suess said “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.” I hope to give all my students that walk through my classroom door the stepping stones they will need to achieve those dreams and instill a love of learning.
I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s in Education. I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. My favorite subject is Science especially when we get to talk, create and explode volcanoes. I also enjoy watching my student’s minds expand during our engineering unit and when we create “OOBLECK”.
Some of my favorite things to do away from my classroom is spending time with family. Reading, riding my motorcycle and razor. I teach Hula and do a lot of scrapbooking. I also love to camp, play golf and during football season, Raiders are my team. I have a pet cow named Hailey and she recently had a calf we call Bailey. I also love panda bears and miniature piglets. My favorite food is anything Hawaiian and all beef hot dogs.
I am very honored to be a teacher here at Lincoln Academy. I look forward to sharing my knowledge with my students and helping them to grow and become lifelong learners.
