I grew up in West Jordan, Utah. I have two sisters and one brother. I was a dancer and a cheerleader in High School. I attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho (now BYU-I) and loved all of my science classes. Since I have always had a love for education, I decided to combine the two and major in Biology Composite Teaching. After Ricks, I attended Brigham Young University, and graduated in 1997. My first teaching job was at Mount Logan Middle School in Logan, Utah where I taught 8th Grade Science.
My husband and I have five children, four girls and one boy. Malorie is 19, Abby is 16, Brock and Brinley (the twins) are 13 and Ellie is 9. I love being a mother and wife. Our family enjoys spending time together snow skiing, and sledding in the winter. In the summer we enjoy camping, hiking, and swimming. I love to read. I always have a book I’m reading and often escape to a quiet spot in my house to read.
I first came to a Lincoln Academy as a TA and worked in 2nd grade for two years. Last year was my third year teaching Jr. High Science and I loved my experience, especially getting to know and work with the students. I am excited to be teaching science for another year. I love being part of Lincoln Academy and know next year will be a great year!
