Mrs. Jackson

I have been the Speech-Language Pathologist at Lincoln Academy since it opened in 2005. The environment, faculty and students are top notch. I love working at Lincoln!

I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work in education. I spent countless hours of my childhood playing school with my younger brothers.  I started my education at BYU-I (it was Ricks College then).  I started as an Elementary Education major.  While I was in a child development class, a speech language pathologist came in to teach us about childhood speech and language development.  That was when I knew I wanted to pursue a career in speech. I received my Bachelors degree from BYU in ’99 and completed my Masters at the University of Utah in ‘01. I love helping kids improve their communication skills!

On a personal note, I have been married for 16 years and have 3 great kids.  My favorite things to do are work and play with my family (mostly play).  In the summer, I enjoy doing anything outside: Lagoon, Seven Peaks, swimming, hiking, working in the yard.  My husband and I are the proud owners of a summer produce business, Sugar Sweet Produce, where we sell fresh sweet corn, melons, and many other fruits.  We have 13 roadside stands that we manage.  I am spoiled with endless fresh produce all summer long!

I grew up in Florida and Virginia where my parents and brothers still reside. My folks have a condo on the Chesapeake Bay, so my kids and I spend a few weeks with them soaking in the sun, sand and ocean very summer.  I love the beach and spending time with family.

I am looking forward to another great year at Lincoln Academy.
