Mr. Thorson

I am excited for my 9th year at Lincoln Academy.  I received my teaching degree in Math Education from Weber State University, graduating with honors.  While working towards my degree I learned the value of hard work, dedication, and time management.  As I help the students learn math, I expect them also to work hard, be dedicated, and manage their time wisely.  I believe as they apply themselves, and work towards their goals, they will gain a sense of satisfaction and increased self-confidence.

I am a father of 4 and believe family is where success starts and ends. Lincoln Academy is a very family oriented school and I am thrilled that there will be so much parental support with the students.  Learning is a lifelong endeavor, thus I am always learning new ways to meet the needs of my students.  I am open to your suggestions and advice on how to meet your child’s particular needs and learning styles.

I look forward to another great year at Lincoln Academy.
