Drama is a well rounded introduction to the Theater Arts. It is a very interactive class where students learn a smattering of many different genres and types of theater as well as techniques. The focus of this class is to teach specific skills that students can use in their daily lives, such as public speaking, confidence, awareness of their surroundings, body and movement. This includes experimenting with pantomime, silent movies, radio shows, puppetry, storytelling, and culminates in the students performing a monologue. It is offered to 7-9th graders and is a semester class.
