I have been in the education system my whole adult life. I have lived and worked in Utah, Oregon, Louisiana, Georgia, and West Africa. I taught school for many years and then decided to go back to school for a masters degree. I received my Masters in Educational Psychology from BYU and began my career in the field of counseling. I have worked in professional counseling situations, as a Chapter 1 (Title 1), and as a counselor at Pleasant Grove High School. I really enjoy my job and I love working with students in the school setting.
I have many hobbies and interests. I love to spend time with my family, am an avid 4 wheeler enthusiast (Jeeps and 4 wheelers), enjoy the outdoors, cooking gourmet food, quilting, sewing, reading, walking and hiking.
Hi! I am excited to be joining the Lincoln Academy team!
I have been a school counselor for the past 20 years. In middle school for the past 8 years, and elementary schools prior to moving to middle school. I got a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, and a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. I was born in SLC and attended school in Salt Lake City. I was also lucky to spend a few years as a child living in Germany, which gave me the desire to continue traveling, which my husband and I do as often as we can.
In my spare time I like to cook, read, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends. In fact with the help of two girlfriend’s we have self-published two cookbooks. We are also big movie fans at our house, and have traditional summer movie marathons with our nieces, which usually include the Lord of the Rings and/or the Harry Potter series. I have family roots from Alpine and am thrilled to be working in this area.
