Counseling Center

Mrs. Banks

Hi! I am excited to be joining the Lincoln Academy team!

I have been a school counselor for the past 20 years. In middle school for the past 8 years, and elementary schools prior to moving to middle school.  I got a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah, and a Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix. I was born in SLC and attended school in Salt Lake City.  I was also lucky to spend a few years as a child living in Germany, which gave me the desire to continue traveling, which my husband and I do as often as we can.

In my spare time I like to cook, read, listen to music, and spend time with family and friends.  In fact with the help of two girlfriend’s we have self-published two cookbooks.  We are also big movie fans at our house, and have traditional summer movie marathons with our nieces, which usually include the Lord of the Rings and/or the Harry Potter series. I have family roots from Alpine and am thrilled to be working in this area.

Ms. Wennerholm

Hi! My name is Traci and this is my first year at Lincoln Academy. I received my bachelor’s degree at Utah Valley University and work part time there in the Behavioral Science department. I am finishing up my masters degree in school counseling and am an intern this year at this school. I have loved getting to know your students and working with them this year. But behind every great student are great teachers and parents and I am amazed by you and thank you for all of your help this year!
My work experience includes an internship in the truancy court with high school students, and completing a mediation course and participating in mediation sessions between parents and teens as part of the Strengthening Families program. I have also completed a variety of research projects focused on student retention at the college level and projects that would help graduating bachelor students gain more experience while in school. I also taught the Strong Teens program last summer as part of the UVU Prep program and have presented at several conferences in and out of the state.
In my spare time I love to cook….mostly cookies and desserts. I own a website ( and have appeared on Good Things Utah and Studio 5. I also love to run and hike and most days off you can find me on a trail. I started running so I could eat more dessert, (its all about balance) but then I fell in love with running. I also love to go back where I grew up and I go back fairly often to visit family. I grew up along the coast in Southern California and love it.
